From the profits and funds raised we managed to purchase and donate 300 new footballs for the orphans which they received at their Christmas party on Saturday 19th December, $500 was also kept aside for their party treats and lollies.
After following up and speaking to Kate Bains who is the founder and a life time committed volunteer at the orphanage, she commented and said that the balls were the best presents any of these kids could have wished for.

Once again a big thank you to all who made this possible.

The Strikers will have a fully stocked canteen with hot food and drinks available. A licensed club bar will also be available. Please note no esky's, food or drink will be allowed into the grounds. Entry is FREE and car parking is available in the grounds in allocated parking areas.
Centenary Stormers FC would like to thank all clubs that took part in the 2009 Summer League and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
The competition has grown since 2008 by 7 teams and an extra age group, we have once again seen some great junior football games of the highest standard and quality this year.
We would also like to thank all players, parents and spectators and hope you have enjoyed the season as much as we have.
All pics of the donated footballs, kit and Christmas food hampers that we will purchase from the funds raised during the season for the orphans from the iZulu Orphanage charity in South Africa will be posted before Xmas Day. Please take time to revisit this site and show your kids that played in the 2009 Summer League just how much joy they have brought to these young orphaned HIV kids during the festive season.
Yours in Football and all the best for the new year !!!

The 2009 Summer League will donate all profits this year to young orphaned kids living in Africa that are infected with HIV and Aids. Most of the 800 kids are aged between 6 and 17 and like our own children love to play football, however they don't have the equipment or facilities to play the game like it should be played. We like to make all the 2009 Summer League junior football kids understand and be aware how lucky they are to be playing football in a first world country.
This year we like to donate all profits raised from the Summer League and give the orphanage a large christmas gift hampers consisting of footballs, shin pads, boots, Christmas food and lolly bags.
