Tournament Rules and Regulations

  • This Summer League Tournament is sanctioned by Football Bribane Inc. (FBI)
  • All players must be registerd with FBI  and must be covered by Football Queensland player Insurance policy
  • Unregistered FBI kids who dont have a FFA number must complete a FFA amateur registration form and player insurance benefit form to be covered. (Please contact Christine at FBI – a fee of $34 will apply for new registrations)
  • All games will be played in a good competitive spirit.
  • All fixtures will played at the same venue every Sunday, there will be  3 session times –  1:30pm / 3:00pm / 4:30pm
  • All under 10 games will be played on field 1 and all U11 games on field 2 at Jack Bowers Fields (Nudgee Junior College - Twigg Street in Indooroopilly)
  • All kids that take part in the Under 10 tournament must  be born in 1999 an up (A current 2009 Season – U10 player) 
  • All kids that take part in the Under 11 tournament must  be born in 1998 an up (A current 2009 Season – U11 player) 
  • The clubs taking part will have one selected representive each that forms the league and displinary comittee.
  • The league and club committee have agreed that we will play by the official 2009 FBI (Junior Compettions – Under 11 Rules) with the following exceptions.
    - All games will consist of 4 x 15min quarters
    - Teams & Players will have a 5 min drink and coaching break between quarters
    - Win = 3 points  / Draw = 1 point (Unless bonus draw system applies – see below) / Loss = 0 points
    - We will include a draw bonus system (For example if teams have a draw and score line is higher than a 0-0 or 1-1 draw both teams  
       will be awarded 2 points rather than 1 for the draw.
    - If a player accumulates 2 yellow cards they will be required  to miss 1 fixture or game, any player who receives a red card will
     automatically  get a 3 match suspension.
  • On finals day 1st place will play 2nd place and 3rd place will play 4th place, in the event of a draw at full time extra time will include 2 halves of 10 minutes, if still no result both teams will share the winand the charity shield in both the U10 and the U11 age groups.
  • A player may only play in one age group or league during the Summer League. 
  • A maximum of 20 players may be selected per squad for registration however a maximum of 16 players only can attend each fixture
  • A maximum of 4 guest players is allowed from other FBI clubs, however these clubs must be notified in writing about the borrowed guest players and a copy given to the Summer League with this nomination form.
  • Before every fixture all team managers must complete an offcial FBI team match sheet and hand it to the referee at least 10 minutes before kick off. 
  • The FFA code of conduct will apply for all team officials, players and parents that take part.
  • Official FBI black & white referees and linesmen will be assigned for all games and fixtures.
  • If fixtures are cancelled due to bad weather an alternative day will be decided to play or complete the fixtures. 
  • Right of admission is reseved at all fixtures and venues.
  • This tournament has a “no alcohol” policy and we will strictly enforce this at all time, any person found been intoxicated will be asked to leave the grounds immidatley.
  • All players, team officials and parents must be made aware of these rules and regulations

 

Proposed Game Times

Games and fixtures will run every Sunday afternoon consisting of 9 fixtures at the same venue:

  • U10's games are  @ 2:00pm - 3:30pm
  • U11's & U12's games are @  3:30pm / 5:00pm / 6:30pm
